CPO Kees van Oers has notified the Supervisory Board of Plukon Food Group of his wish to conclude his employment as of 1 February 2018. Kees has been responsible for all of the Group’s purchasing activities for the past 18 years.
Mr J.B. Steineman, chairperson of the Supervisory Board, has expressed his gratitude for the manner in which Van Oers has led the purchasing department, as well as for his contribution to the success of Plukon Food Group over the years.
“Working for a rapidly growing and successful business is fantastic and dynamic, but it is also exceptionally intensive. The latter factor has led me to decide to resign, which will enable me to find a different balance between work and private life”, according to Kees van Oers.
The management of Plukon is saddened by Van Oers’ departure from the company, but they are consoled by the fact that he will continue to fulfil all of his duties for the coming period. Management is currently searching for a replacement for Kees.

Plukon Food Group employs approximately 5,500 people in 18 production locations. The Group processes around 7.6 million chickens per week, with an expected turnover for 2017 of approximately 1.6 billion euros.
